  • Description

A historic house dedicated to Lillian Nordica – a leading soprano opera singer in America’s Gilded Age. Nordica was born in this house, and later on, it became her summer home.
The Nordica Homestead Museum was founded by a group of Nordica’s friends and admirers in order to commemorate her life and legacy.
Learn about the extraordinary life of the farmer girl who became “Madame Nordica”, traveled all over the world, and was the first celebrity promoter of Coca-Cola. See the gowns and costumes Nordica wore in her concerts, and explore her on-stage and off-stage items, such as jewelry, photos, and personal memorabilia. Don’t miss the impressive collection of china and dinnerware, as well as Nordica’s portrait painted by Hermann Schmiechen.
