This half-day guided tour will take you to visit the famous 19th-century sugar plantations located only several miles from New Orleans.
See the different south’s scenery, view the Mississippi River, and discover the stories of the people who lived in the plantations – the owners and enslaved people.
At the National Historic Landmark Oak Alley Plantation, you’ll walk through the canopied path of the 300 years old oaks trees and visit the house, while at Laura Plantation you’ll visit the slaves’ cabins, visit the main house and hear the stories of the women who managed it, especially the one who the plantation is named after.
