As a farm girl, the self-taught owner and Chef Iliana Regan emphasizes the flavors of her childhood with seasonal fruit and vegetable made in the traditional Midwestern methods.

2. Vanille Patisserie @ Lincoln Park

Since 2002, Vanille Patisserie is maintaining the tradition of French pastry art. Chef and owner Sophie Evanoff, alongside a team of skilled pastry chefs, is dedicated to preserving the authentic quality and taste of the European baking goods. In all three locations, you will find a wide variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts, including macarons, tarts, croissants, entremets, and handmade chocolates.

3. Saucy Porka @ Loop

Saucy Porka defines itself as an Asian-Latin fusion, blending flavors, textures, and spices from the south and east Asia and Puerto Rico. 4. Goddess and the Baker @ Loop
Bakery * $
A Bakery that serves salads, sandwiches, and a wide selection of baked goods. It is known for its delicious coffee and casual energized environment. Owned by Debbie Sharpe – a former music journalist and a caterer for the Rockstars, who opened it in 2015 as a spin-off cafe of “Goddess and the Grocer” restaurant group.

5. Vivere @ Loop

Set in a theatrical dining hall, Vivere specializes in contemporary Italian cuisine. Opened in 1990 as a spin-off of “the village” restaurant, third-generation owner, Gina Capitanini, is preserving the family tradition of serving the latest trends in Italian cuisine inspired by the rich, versatile regional dishes of the boot country. An Award-winning restaurant specializes in Vietnamese and Thai traditional cuisine. Opened in 2009 as a kiosk in Chicago’s French Market by Mary Nguyen Aregoni, her husband Dan, and sister, Theresa, and expended to three locations offering a wide variety of meats, seafood, and vegetables, all based on authentic family recipes. Majani, which means “green” in Swahili, is a vegan restaurant that specializes in plant-based cuisine. Determined to offer healthy eating options, Chefs and owners Nasya Emmanuel and Tsadakeeyah Ben Emmanuel, are using fresh ingredients from local farms and gardens. Located in a space featuring recycled and reclaimed materials, Majani is serving a variety of delicious vegan dishes, such as fried grits, falafel burger, and taco salad.
