In this small-group bike tour, you will explore Slovenia’s capital from a gender perspective that focuses on feminism, women’s rights, and women’s history.
The bike was one of the tools which liberated women, and on this tour, they will allow the participants to get to see places about women a bit further from the city center.
Among the places you will visit and hear Herstories of pioneer women of Slovenia are:
- The Museum of Contemporary Art Metelkova and outdoor street galleries, where you will enjoy the work of female artists
- The Old Power Station, which became a performance arts venue and is managed by an all-female group of cultural managers
- Park Spica
- Prule neighborhood
and many more
Ljubljana Feminist Bike Tour || Ljubljanska feministična tura s kolesom
The Ljubljana Feminist Bike Tour is a new tour, completely unique and different from the existing and very popular Ljubljana Feminist Walking Tour, a women’s history walk that Ptich has been running since July 2017. The bike tour follows the less-travelled paths of the local HERstories. Riding the very tool and early symbol of women’s emancipation – the bicycle! –, you can now discover fascinating yet often forgotten heroines of Slovenia’s women rights struggles, as well as iconic personalities from all walks of life.

Kolesarska feministična tura je nova, čisto drugačna različica priljubljene Ljubljanske feministične ture po lokalni ženski zgodovini, ki jo je zavod Urbana Vrana začel izvajati julija 2017. Feministična tura s kolesom se za razliko od sprehajalne pešpoti poda na redkeje obiskane poti izven centra Ljubljane in obelodani nove unikatne ženske zgodbe.
