Explore downtown Salt Lake City following the places related to the Utah Suffrage Movement in this self-guided tour. Utah was the second territory to grant women their voting rights (after Wyoming), and this trail will walk you through the places where history happened.
Among the stops on tour are – the Utah City Hall, where Utah extended voting rights to women on February 12th, 1870, the Utah State Capitol, where a celebration of the ratification of the 19th Amendment happened on August 30th, 1920. Other stops include gathering places, protests locations, and more.
This self-guided tour was organized by Better Days 2020, which is dedicated to “popularizing Utah women’s history in creative and communal ways.”
