  • New Year’s Eve Fireworks at the waterfront
  • Hot Chocolate 15k/5k Race in Golden Gate Park (since 2008)
  • Women’s March, the annual, global event, gathering people to continue demanding equal rights for women
  • Restaurant Week
  • SF Sketchfest (since 2001), comedy festival full of performances of the top comedian in North America








  • Fall Antiques Show – since 1981 is the largest international art, antiques, and design fair on the West Coast
  • Litquake Literary Festival held for almost 10 days since 1999 (Co-founded by a woman – Jane Ganahl)
  • Black Laurel Films (formerly the International Black Women’s Film Festival)
  • Castro Street Fair
  • T9 Mermaid Run San Francisco
  • Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival at Golden Gate park, since 2000 offering gourmet food and beverage and free live music for three days
  • San Francisco Fashion Week (since 2009)
